The modernized Government ITI at Ambattur, Chennai, was inaugurated today by the esteemed Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. M K Stalin. The event witnessed the presence of notable guests, including Thiru. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, Thiru. T M Anbarasan, Honourable Minister for MSME, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. C V Ganesan, Honourable Minister for Labour Welfare & Skill Development, Thiru. T R Baalu, MP Sriperumbudur, Thiru. K Selvaperundhagai, MLA Sriperumbudur, Mr. Warren Harris, CEO of Tata Technologies, and Shri. Pawan Bagheria of Tata Technologies.
ITI Ambattur is the first among 71 Government ITIs in the state to undergo a comprehensive upgrade of its infrastructure, technology, and equipment. This upgradation project, led by Tata Technologies in collaboration with over 20 global technology partners, including Mastercam, Haas, Yaskawa Robots, 3D Systems, and Ace Micromatic, aims to transform these ITIs into technology centers that meet industry 4.0 standards, and become a hub of innovation for local industries, particularly the MSMEs.
